Do you love Jesus Christ, the one who died for your sins? As a Christian, your answer would be a definite yes. You love the Son of God who died for you on the cross. The question is, does He know that you love Him? Does He even know who you are? He is the one who has the authority to decide if you get to live forever with Him in the New Jerusalem, or if you will end up in hell for eternity. So this one question is the most important one you could ever ask, does Jesus Christ know who you are?
There are two answers to this question, the one is the answer you give based on what your pastor told you the day you got saved. The other is the answer the Bible gives based on what Jesus said. If you are married, do you know if your spouse feels loved by you?. You would never go to your colleague or friend and ask them if your spouse feels loved by you. You would go to your spouse and ask them “do you feel loved by me”?. This is a scary question to ask because you might not get the answer you hope for. But it is the responsible question to ask because if you truly love your husband/wife, you would want to make sure he or she feels loved. If you love your spouse, you would be willing to take the risk that he or she might answer your question with a no, I dont feel loved by you. And if they did answer in such a way, you owe it to yourself and to them to find out how to make them feel loved.
If you would ask your spouse, and not your colleague or friend this question, the next question is why would you ask your pastor if Jesus feels loved by you? Do you not owe it to yourself, and to Jesus, to ask Him that question? You would, of course, have to be willing to take the risk that He might answer “no I dont feel loved by you”. And if that is so, you owe it to yourself and to Him to find out how to make Him feel loved. If He answers “no I dont feel loved by you” you have no relationship with Him. If you dont have a relationship with Jesus, you will never see heaven when you die and He does not know who you are. Matthew 7:21-23 shows us it is quite possible to believe you are a Christian and not have a relationship with Yeshua. If that is you, Matthew 7:21-23 says you will one day end up in hell.
The first question we have to ask ourselves is this, would you feel loved and respected if someone constantly called you by the wrong name? You would, of course, make every effort to tell them how to pronounce your name correctly, but if they still continued calling you by the wrong name, you would, in the end, feel kind of frustrated and not very much loved and respected by them.
We know the Bible says Jesus was born in Israel to a Jewish mother. He lived His entire life on this earth as a law-abiding Jew. In Hebrew, the letter J does not exist. So we know His real name is not Jesus, it is Yeshua. So to give Him the proper respect He deserves, we will from now on calling Him by His real name Yeshua instead of Jesus.
When we ask someone “do you feel loved by me?” we risk hearing “no I dont feel loved by you”. We owe it to ourselves, and to them, to find out how to make them feel loved by us. So when we ask this question to Yeshua He answers it for us in John 14:15.
In John 14:15 Yeshua says “if you love Me you will keep My commandments”. This is the answer to our question, Yeshua feels loved by us when we obey Him. We see this again in John 14:21 and 14:23 when He says the one who loves Him will obey His teachings. Those who love Him will also be loved by Yehovah (God), the Father of Yeshua, and Yehovah and Yeshua will come and live inside of them.
Now we understand He feels loved by us if we obey His commandments. This is not what is being preached in most churches today. Mainstream Christianity has 40 000 different understandings of what it means to “obey His commandments”. They believe He feels loved if we sing songs to Him, tell Him we love Him, do good deeds and ministry work, witness about Him. In the Bible, Yeshua prays that all those who believe in Him will be one. Right now there are 40 000 different denominations in this world and we are far from being one. So we have to ask ourselves, what did He mean when He said: “obey my commandments”?
Are you keeping His commandments? If the answer is no you owe it to yourself and to Yeshua to change your behavior so He feels loved by you. Love builds the relationship you need to get into heaven when you die. Without love, there is no relationship and you will one day hear Him say “depart from Me, for I never knew you, your workers of lawlessness” (Matt 7:21-23)
In John 15:10 Yeshua says His commandments are the exact same as His Fathers teachings. If we believe Yeshua is the Son of God, then we believe His Father Yehovah is the same one who gave Moses the law on Mount Sinai. So what Yeshua is saying in John 15:10 is that He taught His disciples how to properly obey the law of Moses. And if we will obey the law of Moses, we will obey His commandments and show Him that we love Him.
We see this in Matthew 23:2 when Yeshua tells His disciples to obey the law of Moses, but not to obey man-made doctrines and commandments. We see this in Matt 7:13 and 15:6 when He rebukes the Pharisees for making man-made traditions and doctrines more important than the written law of Moses.
Yeshua tells us that He feels loved by us when we obey the written law of Moses. He makes it very clear we are not to obey what is called the Talmud, the Mishna or any other man-made doctrines or commandments. Paul the Apostle agrees with this in Gal 1:14 when he says he left Judaism when he discovered how Judaism is built on man-made doctrines, traditions, and commandments. This is why Paul says in Rom 2:29 the true Jew is the one who obeys only the written law of Moses just as our Savior Yeshua did (1.John 2:6).
So we are not to go back into Judaism, but we are to live as descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob by choosing to live as true Jews with circumcised hearts in obedience to the written law of Moses. This is how we show our love for Yeshua and this is how He feels loved by us when we obey Him.
Your pastor, your denomination, your favorite TV/Youtube evangelist will disagree with this. If that so, you have to ask yourself the question, why are you allowing them to tell you how to love Yeshua? You would never ask them how to love your wife/husband. You would ask your wife/husband how to love them and what you have to do to make them feel loved by you.
You owe it to yourself and to Yeshua to ask Him how He feels loved by you, what you have to do to strengthen your relationship to Him. You owe it to yourself and to Yeshua to change your behavior if He says “I dont feel loved by you right now”. Now you know how to change your behavior, by making sure you will from now on obeying the written law of Moses.
In Gal 1:14 Paul the Apostle says Judaism has left its foundation and become a religion built on traditions and man-made doctrines. There is no difference between Judaism and mainstream Christianity when you consider how most mainstream Christian churches would tell you the lie that says the law of Moses has been done away with, and we are in Christ if we believe He died for us. Most mainstream Christian churches would also tell you the lie that says the Apostle Paul was given the revelation of grace and had to fight all his life against those who still believed the law of Moses applied to them.
As we have just seen, the Bible says this is not true. The law of Moses and our obedience to it is what shows our love for Yeshua. Paul the Apostle understood this when he encouraged his readers to obey it. So why then are most Christian churches telling us not to obey it? Because we have a very real enemy, the devil, who is the father of lies. The devil knows what will happen if you are united with Yeshua (1.John 2:6). He does not want that to happen, because he knows the Bible says in Rev 12:11, 14:12 those who are united with Yeshua have authority over him. So he works overtime trying to influence Christian churches filling them with his lies to such an extent that they are no longer Christian churches preaching the truth.
If Paul the Apostle left Judaism in favor of a relationship with Yeshua, do we not owe it to yourself to leave behind mainstream Christianity in favor of a relationship with our Savior and Lord? Being in a relationship with your denomination can never save you. Being in a relationship united with Yeshua is the only thing that can and will save you.
The sad truth is that right now, at this very moment, there are billions of “born again Christians” in hell. They lived their entire lives believing they had a relationship with Yeshua, based on what their pastor/denomination told them. When they died they heard Yeshua say “depart from Me, for I never knew you, your workers of lawlessness”. They never left mainstream Christianity in favor of a relationship with our Savior and Lord. Do not do what they did.
Make sure that you are one with Christ, hidden in Him, united with Him by becoming a true Jew who lives his or her life in daily obedience to the written law of Moses. (1. John 2:6)
The question is, do you love Yeshua? Does He know that you love Him? As we have seen, the Bible says there is only one way to love Him by being obedient to the law of Moses. (John 14:15). There is also only one way to making sure you are united with Him by being obedient to the law of Moses (1.John 2:6)
If you know beyond a shadow of a doubt you are being obedient to all the 613 commandments applicable to your gender, living outside Israel, you know that you love Yeshua and He loves you. Then you also know that you are imitating His life being united with Him (1.Cor 11:1, 1.John 2:6)
But what about the cross, where does that fit into all of this?
As a mainstream Christian, you believe Yeshua is the Messiah because He fulfilled all the Messianic prophecies from the Old-Testament. If you remove the Old-Testament from your Bible you would remove the very foundation of your faith and the only foundation for your faith in Yeshua as the Messiah. It is, therefore, kind of obvious we can’t ignore what the Old Testament says.
In Isaiah 56:6 it says that those who are not a natural born Jew can come to Yehovah’s holy mountain and make a sacrifice. Their sacrifices will be accepted on one condition if they choose to serve Yehovah by obeying His law and His Shabbats.
If you as a mainstream Christian believes Yeshua died for your sins you have chosen to believe He is your sacrifice. What the Bible says in Isaiah 56:6 and James 2:10-26 is that Yehovah will only accept your faith in the cross as a sacrifice if you choose to obey His law (John 14:15) and keep His Shabbats. This means that if you believe the law of Moses does not apply to you, or you dont have to keep Shabbat, your faith in the cross cannot save you (James 2:10-26)
The cross of Yeshua is essential to us, without it we would be eternally lost and divorced from Yehovah. But the law of Moses is also essential to us, without our obedience to it our faith in the cross of Yeshua will not be accepted as a sacrifice for our sins. And without our obedience to the law of Moses, there is no way to love Yeshua, even if we believe He died for our sins. Without our obedience to the law of Moses, there is no way to be united with Yeshua, if we are not united with Him we have no share in the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and we will never inherit eternal life.
On the other hand, if we are united with Him we will inherit eternal life and share in the promises made to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. If we are united with Him our faith in His cross will be an acceptable sacrifice to Yehovah and we will be forgiven.
You would never ask a colleague or a friend to tell you how your spouse felt about you. A friend or a colleague can only give you advice, they can never tell you what you should do to make your spouse feel loved and respected.
Why would you choose to ask a pastor, an evangelist or a denominational leader how Yeshua feels about you? Why would you ask them to tell you what you should do to make Yeshua feel loved and respected?
Do you not owe it to yourself, and to Yeshua to ask Him directly?
As we have seen today, He would say that He feels loved when we obey His law – the written law of Moses. Our obedience to the written law of Moses is what unites us with Yeshua and what makes our sacrificial faith in the cross acceptable to Yehovah. It is what guarantees our share in the promises given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Being united with Yeshua, having your faith in the cross as an acceptable sacrifice for your sins all comes down to being obedient to the written law of Moses. Our obedience to the law of Moses shows us, Yehovah and all around us who we belong to. This is why the first Christians were given the nickname Christians, it was not because they belonged to a new religion. They were law-abiding Jews who believed Yeshua the Messiah and the Son of God died for their sins, and their faith showed itself in obedience to the law of Moses. They resembled Yeshua so much that they were given the name Messianics/Christians in greek because they imitated the life of Yeshua. (1. Cor 11:1)
It is one thing to read this in the Bible, but to know how to live this truth out in your life is something completely different. So let’s take a look at how it looks like to be united with Christ in real life. What does it look like to love Yeshua and be united with Him?
When we do something it always becomes a part of our identity. Because you love your spouse and choose to show your love for them by obeying them, you have an identity as a spouse. But you also have an identity as an employee because you have chosen to obey your employer and his or her written/unwritten laws in the workplace. Then you have an identity as a son or a daughter because you have chosen to obey your parents. And last but not least, you have an identity as a citizen of your nation because you have chosen to obey your government and its laws.
So if I were to ask you to describe yourself, you would say you are a husband/wife, an employee at your company, a son/daughter and a citizen of your nation. You are able to love your wife/husband, be a good employee, a son/daughter and a citizen of your nation because all of these things are an integrated part of your identity. So you dont go around thinking to yourself “I have to obey him/her, I have to show my love for him/her and I have to be a good citizen”. All of those things come naturally to you because they are a part of your identity. You love and obey because you are a husband/wife, an employee, a citizen of your nation and a son/daughter.
If I asked you what you believe in, your answer would be “I am a Christian”. Being a Christian is an integrated part of your identity, so you dont walk around thinking to yourself “I have to be a good Christian and obey God”. You are saved and that makes you a Christian as an integrated part of your identity, and because of it, you naturally live that part of your identity out.
We know for a fact Yeshua was a Jew and not a Christian. Since the year 200 AD the term “Christian” has been associated with a non-Jewish religion with a non-Jewish Messiah who freed us from the law of Moses. As we have seen, the Bible says this Messiah does not exist. The Messiah that does exist was and still is a Jew who invites everyone who believes in Him to become a Jew so their sacrificial faith in His death can be accepted by Yehovah (Isaiah 56:6, James 2:10-26)
Because your mind has been filled with lies about what it means to be a Christian, it would be very difficult for you to live in unity with Yeshua if you consider yourself a Christian. Your mind is preprogrammed to think that if you are a Christian, you only have to “believe in Jesus and His death on the cross for your sins” and “the law of Moses is a burden”.
Paul the Apostle is considered to be the Apostle to the Gentiles and in many denominations, he is considered to be a Christian. In 1.Cor 11:1 he tells his readers to imitate the life of Yeshua the way he imitated the life of Yeshua. Because Paul the Apostle was a Jew he knew that Isaiah 56:6 says that a gentile who joins themselves to Yehovah is obligated to obey Yehovah and Yehovah’s Shabbats if their sacrifice is to be accepted by Him. So even though he was the Apostle to the Gentiles, he told his gentiles, readers, to become Jews so their faith in Yeshua would be accepted by Yehovah (Isaiah 56:6, 1.Cor 11:1, 1.John 2:6, 3:7, 5:3, James 2:10-26)
Why would you call yourself a Christian if Paul called himself a Jew and told his readers to live as law-abiding Jews believing in the cross?
The Bible says in Prov 23:7 what we believe about ourselves we will become. The devil knows this, so he knows that if he can get you to believe you are a Christian, you will become a lawless Christian who will one day hear “depart from Me, for I never knew you” (Matt 7:21-23). If we, on the other hand, obey the Bible, and Paul, we will choose to believe we are Jews who believe Yeshua died for us. The Bible says this is something all people everywhere at all times can believe, regardless of their ancestry or DNA because the true Jew is the one who obeys the law of Moses and believes Yeshua died for them. (Rom 2:29)
What does it look like to be united with Christ?
You have to believe you are a Jew because He was a Jew if you believe you are a Jew you will as a result of your faith choose to live out your Jewish identity. If you choose to live out your Jewish identity with faith in the cross, you know that the Bible says in Rom 2:29, Matth 12:50, Gal 1:14 we are not to obey Rabbinical Judaism. We are to obey the written law of Moses and only the written law of Moses.
If you choose to live out your Jewish identity, believing Yeshua died for your sins, your faith in the cross will be accepted as an atonement for your sins. (Isaiah 56:6). You will become one with Yeshua (1.John 2:6). You will share in all the promises given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (Deut 28:1-14) and you will have no reason to worry about anything (Matt 6:25-34)
So choose today to be united with Yeshua and become a Jew, according to Paul, this is something you can become regardless of what your mother believed in, your DNA or your ancestry. This is an offer for everyone, everywhere at all times.
Today it is Friday, and the Shabbat will begin in a few hours from now. If you are a Jew and you want your faith in the cross to be accepted as atonement for your sins, you will celebrate Shabbat by not working for money and not make others work for money. If you have a medical emergency you are permitted to break Shabbat. If you have a medical condition making certain things impossible to do in the week, you are permitted to break Shabbat. If it can wait until tomorrow it has to wait.
Next Friday at 01:00 am CET I will return with another sermon.
Until then, keep sending your prayer, prophecy and counseling request.
Yehovah bless you.
